How much can I borrow?
The amount you can borrow varies considerably between lenders. This is also affected by your own credit history, the deposit you have, and, of course, how much you earn after taking into account any existing credit commitments.
However as a guide, you may be able to borrow in excess of 5 times your sole income, or in excess of 4 times combined incomes (joint borrowers).
It is highly recommended that you speak with a qualified adviser to establish the amount you can borrow, given your own circumstances. McHale Heaney Brokers can arrange (free of charge), a mortgage pre-approval to confirm the amount (subject to documentary evidence to support this, when an application is subsequently placed with a lender).
